My friends Corey Stroop and Kendall Beck, who have now been a couple for several weeks, clowning around during a recent bowling outing. They are my best friends.

My art project

My painting of Alison and Janine Jarrar is progressing. The initial composition is in place. I am very happy with it so far as it is not only a project I like, but of subjects I care very much about.

Bloomings of Spring

My neighbor Ed Bernas' daughter Alexa planted several flowering plants along the drive near our home. These golden blooms are reaching upward for the sun.

My Dad suggested taking pictures of flowers. We talked about doing close ups like these to bring the blooms to life.

Flowers of the spring outside my friend Sam's Daily Grind. I don't know their names, but they smell as sweet.

Short Pump Town Center Evening

Beautiful reflections in the pools and warm sparkling lights shine as we walk around the Short Pump Town Center Mall.

Cool Spring Road

Rays of sunshine and new golden and green leaves announce the arrival of Spring and renewal.

The canopy of trees creates a pattern of sunlight and shadows on the road. The curves suggest places of wonder just ahead.

One of the more scenic drives near our home in Mechanicsville, Cool Spring Drive is lovely.

Storm Clouds

A rainy evening near my home.

Heavy Clouds but... No rain. Some of my favorite lyrics from one of my favorite singers...Sting.

Rays of sunlight at the edge of the storm.

The sun sets on a lovely evening at the Daily Grind.

Brad Yoder performs and I catch the reflection of a lovely April evening in the window of the Daily Grind.

Brad Yoder performs outside at the Daily Grind. With charming, heartfelt and occassionally funny lyrics, and guitar work that pulls incredible depth from each note, he was both entertaining and moving.

The group 'October Rain' performed at the Daily Grind coffee house to a packed to overflowing crowd. Their original music was fresh and their covers were professional. Their lead singer Melissa Boudoin had a beautiful voice and the guitar work by her husband Mike, along with Eric Fulcher and Andy Rush was exceptional.

Mmmm, Easter Brunch. Mom prepares a traditional Slavic breakfast for Easter morning. It consists of home baked bread, hard boiled (Easter) eggs, ham and kielbasi served with hot horseradish, and butter for the bread in the shape of a lamb.

Paul and Dorrie Steinberg ( my smiling Mom and Dad) during a recent outing at the Hill City Chop House. Mom looks so young and pretty. Dad always says he was around with the dinosaurs.

Alison and Jenine Jarrar pose for a portrait that will be used for my next Art project. The assignment is to do a painting of a subject that represents something "good". I could hardly find anything more "good" than the love between a Mother and Daughter as expressed between these two.

Our shadows on the sidewalk at Gypsy Hill Park in Stanton, VA created an inviting subject. My dad is the shadow in the lower left and my friend Cory Stroop is floating on the right. That's me with the peace sign in the middle. The gravel has light spots that look like stars in the darkness.

The duckpond at Gypsy Hill Park provided this lovely subject and the submerged accomplice.
